Under the patronage of Minister of Culture Judge Mohammad Wissam Al Mortada, and on the occasion of World Arabic Language Day, the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO organized two interactive workshops for elementary students at the Heritage College in Beirut and Saint Joseph School in Mtein on 15 and 16 December 2021.
The workshops by Storytellers Sami Moussa and Nassim Alwan, aimed at raising the students’ awareness on the importance of Arabic Language, by reading a collection of children’s stories by the late author Samah Idriss, and through some activities around the Arabic alphabet, to make the language more accessible to children.
