In the midst of a global digital transformation, the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO is unveiling the podcast series “Femmes de mon pays” as part of its commitment to promoting gender equality.
With the support of UNESCO participation program, this initiative is dedicated to showcasing the stories and experiences of 12 inspiring Lebanese women who are driving positive change in their communities, in their respective fields, including art, science, culture, sports, and more.
The podcast takes the form of concise 20-minute interviews, with questions being asked by students of UNESCO ASPnet schools (Grand Lycée Franco-Libanais, and Lycée Officiel Dr Hassan Saab), and provides a platform for these women to share their voices, discussing their rights, successes, challenges, and struggles. The interviews delve into their journeys, from conception to fruition, shedding light on how they navigated through injustices or discrimination they may have encountered along the way.
All episodes are posted weekly, starting February, on the Lebanese National Commission YouTube channel.
